Where did the moon go???

Every night Bryan and Savvy go outside to take the dog out. Savannah loves to look for the moon and even makes up little stories about it. She tells us all the time that "the moon says boo" meaning it is sometimes hiding when she looks for it and then it pops out. Anyway, the other night they went outside and it was a little cloudy. She asked Bryan "Daddy where did the moon go?" Bryan told her that it was hiding behind the clouds. She told him to move the clouds out of the way. "Move clouds! Go away!" When Bryan told her that he couldn't move the clouds she turned and looked at him and said......"OH CRAP!!!" He then came inside and told me what she said....all I could do was laugh. I have no idea where she gets this stuff from.....He he he!!!!

Savannah's News!!!

To the theme: I'm a Little Tea Pot

I'm a little baby short and stout.
Growing in her belly is what they talk about.
Will I be a boy or girl, they'll shout?
Check back later and you'll soon find out!!!!

You read that right!!! Bryan and I are expecting another baby and Savvy is going to be a big sister!!!! I am 12 weeks along and due October 10, 2009. That's right.....another October baby. Bryan and I both have birthdays in October.

So far, this pregnancy is going well. I have been nauseous every day, but there has been minimal throwing up. Most of you know how sick I was with Savannah....this one is much different. I have still lost my appetite and everything smells, but it really hasn't been that bad. I will keep everyone updated when I know more.

As for what we would like to have....Bryan of course, would like to have a boy. I really don't have a preference. I want to have a boy, but I would not be the least bit sad if we had another girl. Savannah is so much fun and I love my little girl so much. Either way, we are going to be so blessed. I can't wait for Savvy to be a big sister! I'll post another blog when we find out what we are having...Feel free to make predictions!!!!

2 already!!!!

My baby girl is going to be 2 tomorrow....I can't believe it!!!! Where does the time go? I still have such vivid memories of when she was born. Now she is going to be 2. Well, I do have to say she acts just like a 2 year old. She reached the terrible two's a little early, but most days she is pretty good. She has such an imagination and if full of happiness. She talks all the time and is extremely smart. I could not have been blessed with anyone better. This little girl and her daddy really are the light in my life. I am so grateful and blessed to have them to make my days better. Happy Birthday Savannah!!!!!

Now, if you know me, you know her birthday does not come lightly. We have such an eventful weekend planned. Tomorrow we are taking Savannah to the LA Zoo to celebrate her special day. Last year we took her to the San Diego Zoo, so this year to keep it cheaper for others going, we decided to go to the LA Zoo. She is so excited! She tells me everyday that we are "going to the 'animal park' for baby's birthday!" I think it is really going to be a fun day. Then, on Saturday, we are having people over to have a BBQ, cake and ice cream. We bought Savvy one of those wooden swing sets for her birthday and we thought it would be fun to have people over and she can play outside on it. In addition, my best friend Candice is coming from Sacramento to help celebrate. I am super excited. Finally on Sunday, we are finishing up the birthday celebrations by taking Savvy and Candice's girls to Disneyland. We have season passes and Candice thought it would be a fun surprise to take her girls. I think it is going to be a blast! I can't wait. Neither can Savannah....when she isn't telling me about going to see the animals she is tell me we are going to "Mickey's house for baby's birthday!" She loves her some Mickey Mouse!

Anyway, I will hopefully get a chance to post pictures from this weekend later. I still can't believe she is going to be 2! WOW!!!

Busy Weekend!

I know, I know....It's been a while since I have written a new blog. I just haven't been motivated lately. Either that, or I am just a boring person. It might be a little bit of both. :) Who knows! Anyway, I thought since I haven't written a new blog in a while that I would tell all of you wonderful readers about our very busy weekend. On Friday, we decided that we were going to stay home and watch a movie. This is typically our movie night, but lately we just haven't had the chance. We watched Igor. It's a cute Disney movie. Savvy has a short attention span when it comes to watching new movies, but what she did watch, she seemed to enjoy. I don't know that anything will top Walle or Cars for her though. She loves those movies. Overall, it was a good movie, but not one that I would recommend over other Disney flicks.
On Saturday, we decided that we were going to go to the Wild Animal Park. We have season passes to the San Diego Zoo and the Animal Park. Unfortunately, they are going to expire soon and we had yet to make it to the Animal Park....so off we went. Has anyone ever realized how far away this park is? Especially when you drive the hour and twenty minutes to get there, only to find out that the directions were wrong and you get lost in Escondido area for 45 minutes! LOL Just remember there is more than one San Pasqual road. In fact, there are 3 San Pasquals.... (San Pasqual Rd, Old San Pasqual Rd, and San Pasqual Valley Rd.) Dumb googlemaps....That's all I will say about that. We eventually got there, only to wait in a 20 minute line just to get in. Parking at the Animal Park is ridiculous. It was a nice park though. We had a nice time and were happy that we went, but will probably not be going back. Not only is it a lot of walking to get from one place to the other, but a lot of the animals are too far away to get a good look at. If you want to fork out the money to go on all the tours, then it would be worth it. We still had a nice time, but much rather go to the zoo!

On Sunday, we spent the morning at church....and then headed to Disneyland. Did I mention that Sunday was Superbowl Sunday? I like football, but don't really have a team that I root for, with exception for Ohio State. I have and will always be an Ohio State Buckeye fan, born and raised....even though I have lived in California most of my life. Since they weren't in the Superbowl, I really had no interest in it. I did bet Bryan that the Steelers would win. Go me! Anyway, we decided to make a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth....Only to find it was super crowded! We were surprised! Why weren't all these people at home watching the game? There must have been several angry husbands at the park that day...that's all we could figure. It was a lot of fun though. Anytime we go to Disneyland, we have a blast! Savannah loves her some "Mickey and Minnie's House," as she calls it. We even made a quick trip to California Adventure to ride the Toy Story Ride. If you haven't been on....GO and GO NOW! It is one of my favorite rides. It is so much fun. Overall the day was great! Just before we left, Savvy got to see Mickey and Minnie and it just made her day.

The weekend was great and tiring all at the same time. It was so tiring that Bryan stayed home "sick" the next day, just to recover. Sadly though he has ended up with a cold. Savvy too! Now if they can only get better. What a blessed weekend though. God is good to us! Below are a few pictures from the eventful weekend. Enjoy!

Malaya Lynn

I woke up this morning to a phone call from my friend Danielle who is 34 weeks along in her pregnancy, telling me that she is at the hospital. Her water broke. Once I took in what she said, I became very excited for her, as well as nervous. I talked to her a couple of times later within the day to hear that nothing much was going on. She had her epidural and was waiting it out. When we went to call her husband to find out if we could bring him dinner, Malaya was already here. Bryan had just talked to them an hour or so before and nothing was new. Within an hour, she pushed out a beautiful baby girl. She weighed in at 4 lbs, 7.7 oz. and is 16 inches long. She is completely healthy and breathing well...100%. She did have to go to the NICU, where she will be for a few days for observation. Because she is in the NICU, no one but the parents and grandparents can see her, but Mike, Danielle's husband took my camera in and took pictures of her. She is so cute....absolutely beautiful! Danielle is doing well too. Both mommy and daddy were looking a little tired, but doing great. Danielle didn't even seem to have any pain. They just really want to see and hold their baby girl. Mike has yet to hold her, but Danielle did get to for a few minutes. Anyway, I am just so overjoyed and wanted to write about it. Congratulations to the new Mommy and Daddy! I am so happy for you. God has truly blessed this day, not only with excitement and happiness, but with a healthy, adorable little angel. What a great day!

Mission Inn and Santa

Last night, we decided to get out of the house for a little while and go to the Mission Inn to see the lights. I have been cooped up in the house for a week with the flu and felt like getting out for a bit, so off to see the lights we went. It was such a nice night. It finally cooled off around here after being in the 80s. I can't remember the last time it was summer weather in December. Anyway, we had an awesome time. We saw the lights and the big Christmas tree. It was beautiful. We have been telling Savannah about Santa Claus and reading Christmas stories with her since we took her to see him at the mall and she didn't really want anything to do with him. She has been walking around the house for a few weeks saying "See Claw" every time she sees him on TV or in a story or picture. Well, Santa was at the Mission Inn last night and she got to meet him. She was so excited! When it was her turn, I sat her right on his lap and she took her picture with a smile. She never got upset and she even talked to him. He gave her a candy cane and we were on our way. The rest of the time we were there, every time we would walk past him she would say..."See Claw" and try as hard as she could to see him. It was really cute. Anyway, here are a few pictures.

I Got Christmas Survey Tagged

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? I try to wrap everything....depends on the present and time I have left.

2. Real tree or Artificial? I would love a real tree, but right now its artificial.

3. When do you put up the tree? This year we got it up the weekend after Thanksgiving...but usually a week or two before Christmas. LOL

4. When do you take the tree down? Sometime just before or just after New Years.

5. Do you like eggnog? I haven't had it in a long time, but if memory serves..Yes!

6. Favorite gift received as a child? I was a big barbie freak and I loved Cabbage Patch dolls.

7. Hardest person to buy for? Probably Bryan's mom.

8. Easiest person to buy for? Savannah.

9. Do you have a nativity scene? No, but I want one. I saw a really cute one at Walmart. It's actually a Little Peoples toy, but it was so cute! LOL

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? I don't really do Christmas cards. I mail one to a few family members, but I am just too lazy. I know....that's bad. Maybe next year!

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? We did a white elephant exchange with family and Bryan and I got a lint brush. It did come in handy though..lol

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? This one is easy. 24 hours of "A Christmas Story!!!!" I love so many though, but this is my favorite!

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I try to start right after Thanksgiving, but usually don't finish until the week before Christmas. Where does the time go???

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Not that I can recall.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? "You know Dasher, and Dancer, Prancer, and Vixen, Comet, and Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen, but do you recall the most famous Reindeer of all??? Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer."

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? We have an Angel Pooh Bear.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? We open presents with my brother on Christmas eve, and ours and Santa's presents on Christmas morning.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? People thinking gifts are necessary and watering down the true meaning of Christmas. (I agree with this statement) It's also trying to juggle all the families. Making time for everyone and ourselves is extremely difficult.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? We started a tradition when we got married that we would buy one new family ornament each year. Those are my favorite because each one has a special meaning behind it.

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? Turkey..Yum!

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? I really don't have a preference. I just want to have a happy day with my family. Any gifts I receive will be appreciated. I am well loved!

26. Who is most likely to respond to this? Who knows...I don't ask anyone to respond who doesn't want to. I don't usually fill these out either.
