Hey...I know I haven't written on here in a really long time, but I just haven't been inspired.....UNTIL NOW! As most of you know, I am due to have our second baby in October. As I get closer to my due date, I have started to get questions about how I am feeling, when am I due, how much longer do I have, etc. Well, these are a few of the things that have been said to me, that might just get you slapped. Those of you who have had children may be able to relate. Feel free to add on if you think of something similar. Some have had children and have still said these things. Just remember.....Think before you speak!
Things said that may get you slapped:
1. "He really looks popped out there today, doesn't he?"
2. "You look good...looks like you are carrying a basketball under your shirt."
3. "It doesn't look like you have much room left in there."
4. "It doesn't look like you have much longer left." (When I actually do)
5. Them: "How far along are you?" Me: "34 weeks" Them: "Really? I bet you are at least 36 weeks."
6. "You look HUGE since I last saw you!"
7. "Having twins???"
8. "You are so much bigger this time, than the last time I saw you."
9. "You look so much bigger this time, then when you were pregnant with Savannah."
10. "You don't look as big this time, as the last time you were pregnant."
11. (Game played at my baby shower) "Let's measure her belly to see how big she is....I mean small!"
12. "Your (new) shirt makes you look bigger than you really are....a lot bigger!"
13. (Game played at my baby shower) "Are we measuring around that belly button too?"
14. "I just saw you....You look so much bigger than the last time. It's only been a few weeks." (Actually it had been a month)
15. "Boys are known for making your hips wide."
Thanks for the kind words everyone!!!! I will remember these for when you have kids!

Sneaky Savvy
Yesterday before we left on vacation to Palm Springs, I was sitting at the computer checking my email. Savannah came to sit with me and she was messing with a credit card that was sitting at the desk. I told her not to play with it and she got down. Later when I was done on the computer, I noticed that the card was missing. From there, Bryan and I search for what had to be a good half hour or so for this card. We asked Savvy what she did with it and she would either say "I don't know" or lead us around the house showing us all the places it wasn't. After a really long search, we decided to give up, figuring it would eventually turn up. My mom was planning to clean the carpets while we were on vacation, so we were going to have her keep an eye out for it. I was really upset that it was missing, because I told her not to play with it and I never saw her take it when she got down. I told Bryan that it was frustrating because we had looked in all of her places that she typically hides things. I think my exact words were "This just means that Savvy is getting sneakier." Just then, I felt something poke me in the boob and I looked down to find the missing card stuck between my shirt and my bra. LOL Bryan immediately started laughing. He said he couldn't believe we spent all that time looking for it when it was on me the whole time. In my defense, Savvy put it in there just right, because I never felt it. :) Of course my sweet husband is poking fun at me now. He said if anything ever goes missing we just need to look down my shirt, and to make sure I never put anything like money in there because we will never find it. Leave it to my 2 year old to find the most creative hiding spots... You just gotta love her!

The verdict is in.....
If you have looked at my facebook page, then you already know, but for those that haven't......We are having a BOY!!!! As part of my Mother's Day gift, my hubby took me to get a 3D ultrasound done to find out what we are having. My doctor's appointment isn't until the end of the month and I was so anxious to find out. It was so wonderful. Our little boy is absolutely perfect and so cute. We are super excited! I will post pictures soon.
As for the rest of my Mother's Day, it was perfect. Yesterday after the ultrasound, we spent the day at the park with my family. It was fun to be out in the sun and just have a relaxing day with games and a BBQ. I came home to a husband who made me dinner, got me flowers, and one of my favorite deserts. Then, today, we went to church to praise God for his love and for making me a mother, then headed over to Bryan's mom's for swimming and a BBQ. It was such an amazing weekend and it couldn't have been spent any better. I also got to talk to a wonderful friend and one of the most amazing mom's I have ever known. Thanks for making my day even better! Your life should be a book because you has such a great story to tell. Thank you for giving me a reason to believe. You are an inspiration!
I just want to say Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there, especially my mom! I Love you! I hope all of you had as good of a day or weekend as I did!

Easter Day
Easter was a great day. We started the day by going to church. The nursery had an Easter egg hunt for the little kids. It was a success, at least in Savannah's case. They put all the eggs in the grass and told them to go get them. Savvy started with her bag, but it was slowing her down. She ended up putting the bag down, picking up as many eggs as she could, then putting them in the bag and going for more. She was a real pro at it. She ended up with a whole bag by the end, which I was happy to share with some of the other kids that didn't quite get as many as my little egg hunter.
After church we came home and just relaxed, while Savvy took a nap. When she woke up we decided to do her egg hunt in the back yard. It was a blast! Bryan and I hid the eggs all over the back yard and around her swing set. She found all of them and wanted to play more. So we ended up making a game of it. We would hide them, then she would come out and find them. She couldn't get enough. Eventually, Bryan just sat on the back steps and threw them in the yard when she wasn't looking and she would search all over the yard for them. It was so much fun. This may become an activity to do when she gets bored...LOL
Next, we came inside for dinner. My mom made a delicious ham that I was craving all day! You have no idea how much I wanted to have a ham sandwich all day long. The smell was driving this pregnant girl crazy! Anyway, dinner rolled around and I got my sandwich. Just as I was about to take a bite....and I mean mid-bite, my ever so sweet husband tried to grab the sandwich out of my hands. Apparently, the look on my face was classic. He said he now knows what a "murder's face" looks like....LOL I told him he almost got his hand bitten off. He gave it back, but how wrong is that??? A little advice for anybody out there...especially husbands of pregnant wives....NEVER EVER TAKE FOOD FROM A PREGNANT GIRL, especially if it's a craving. You never know what might happen! He of course, thought it was the funniest thing in the world.
Overall, it was an amazing day. God is good and he has Risen for us! Praise the Lord!
Happy Easter!

Where did the moon go???
Every night Bryan and Savvy go outside to take the dog out. Savannah loves to look for the moon and even makes up little stories about it. She tells us all the time that "the moon says boo" meaning it is sometimes hiding when she looks for it and then it pops out. Anyway, the other night they went outside and it was a little cloudy. She asked Bryan "Daddy where did the moon go?" Bryan told her that it was hiding behind the clouds. She told him to move the clouds out of the way. "Move clouds! Go away!" When Bryan told her that he couldn't move the clouds she turned and looked at him and said......"OH CRAP!!!" He then came inside and told me what she said....all I could do was laugh. I have no idea where she gets this stuff from.....He he he!!!!

Savannah's News!!!
To the theme: I'm a Little Tea Pot
I'm a little baby short and stout.
Growing in her belly is what they talk about.
Will I be a boy or girl, they'll shout?
Check back later and you'll soon find out!!!!
You read that right!!! Bryan and I are expecting another baby and Savvy is going to be a big sister!!!! I am 12 weeks along and due October 10, 2009. That's right.....another October baby. Bryan and I both have birthdays in October.
So far, this pregnancy is going well. I have been nauseous every day, but there has been minimal throwing up. Most of you know how sick I was with Savannah....this one is much different. I have still lost my appetite and everything smells, but it really hasn't been that bad. I will keep everyone updated when I know more.
As for what we would like to have....Bryan of course, would like to have a boy. I really don't have a preference. I want to have a boy, but I would not be the least bit sad if we had another girl. Savannah is so much fun and I love my little girl so much. Either way, we are going to be so blessed. I can't wait for Savvy to be a big sister! I'll post another blog when we find out what we are having...Feel free to make predictions!!!!

2 already!!!!
My baby girl is going to be 2 tomorrow....I can't believe it!!!! Where does the time go? I still have such vivid memories of when she was born. Now she is going to be 2. Well, I do have to say she acts just like a 2 year old. She reached the terrible two's a little early, but most days she is pretty good. She has such an imagination and if full of happiness. She talks all the time and is extremely smart. I could not have been blessed with anyone better. This little girl and her daddy really are the light in my life. I am so grateful and blessed to have them to make my days better. Happy Birthday Savannah!!!!!
Now, if you know me, you know her birthday does not come lightly. We have such an eventful weekend planned. Tomorrow we are taking Savannah to the LA Zoo to celebrate her special day. Last year we took her to the San Diego Zoo, so this year to keep it cheaper for others going, we decided to go to the LA Zoo. She is so excited! She tells me everyday that we are "going to the 'animal park' for baby's birthday!" I think it is really going to be a fun day. Then, on Saturday, we are having people over to have a BBQ, cake and ice cream. We bought Savvy one of those wooden swing sets for her birthday and we thought it would be fun to have people over and she can play outside on it. In addition, my best friend Candice is coming from Sacramento to help celebrate. I am super excited. Finally on Sunday, we are finishing up the birthday celebrations by taking Savvy and Candice's girls to Disneyland. We have season passes and Candice thought it would be a fun surprise to take her girls. I think it is going to be a blast! I can't wait. Neither can Savannah....when she isn't telling me about going to see the animals she is tell me we are going to "Mickey's house for baby's birthday!" She loves her some Mickey Mouse!
Anyway, I will hopefully get a chance to post pictures from this weekend later. I still can't believe she is going to be 2! WOW!!!
